Our Favorite Art Books

I love to buy artsy books for my kids (and sometimes me!) to draw with.

Now don’t get me wrong, I fully believe in blank paper in order to create but sometimes it’s just fun to try drawing an alligator or a funny person.

Here are some of our family’s favorite art books (my kids are 11, 7, and 4 if that helps):

  1. I think I need to get a couple of those – the place mat one looks especially intriguing. Sam begged me to buy a book that he saw a B&N when we were visiting FL after Christmas, but it turned out to be a little too complicated, I think. These look more his speed, and maybe would even pique Andy’s interest.

  2. Corey loves colouring right now so I’ll have to keep some of those books in mind for when he’s a bit odler. Actaully I just bought Andrews a boys doodle book (pocket size) the other week for his birthday. Hope that’s ok still.

  3. A nice selection and kids get so much more confident when they complete these. Great for eye-hand coordination.
