Here are some of the games our family is enjoying this summer
YAHTZEE – I’m taking my six year old to Vegas based on his history with this game |
MEXICAN TRAIN One of the greatest games for all ages of your family | CLUE – An oldy but goody on the game front – Just played this today with my 6 & 9 year olds and lost |
DON’T BREAK THE ICE – My two year old is still learning the concept of taking turns so she usually smashes for fifteen seconds and the games over | MONOPOLY – We actually own Oceanolopy so we are buying and selling codfish by the hundred |
BLOKUS – New game to us – great for those who like puzzles and visual challenges |
What are some of your favorite games to play?
Love, love some Mexican train!
We play a good bit of poker (Follow the Queens, Spit, Baseball, Deuces and one-eyed Jacks, Texas Hold’em), we played Trouble last night, and Scrabble is becoming more popular with the masses – YAY! We did go through a fit of Mastermind for a while – get that one for the boys if you don’t have it yet.
I’ll meet you in Vegas with Sam based on his poker skills. What is it with six-year-olds? Or maybe it’s second-borns. :o) Sam used to call it a Royal Slush when I first taught them a couple years ago. So cute.
oooh i love Blokus! i can’t wait for my Lovie to be of an age when we can start playing family games… i always dreamed of doing a Family Game Night. man, i’m such a dork!
We love Mexican train too! One of my favorites is Rummikub! LOVE IT! Check it out, ages 8-adult.
We also play: Apples to Apples, Loaded Questions, Impostor, Twister, just to name a few.
