Here are some of the games our family is enjoying this summer

YAHTZEE I’m taking my six year old to Vegas based on his history with this game
MEXICAN TRAIN One of the greatest games for all ages of your family CLUE – An oldy but goody on the game front – Just played this today with my 6 & 9 year olds and lost
DON’T BREAK THE ICE – My two year old is still learning the concept of taking turns so she usually smashes for fifteen seconds and the games over MONOPOLYWe actually own Oceanolopy so we are buying and selling codfish by the hundred

BLOKUSNew game to us – great for those who like puzzles and visual challenges

We play a good bit of poker (Follow the Queens, Spit, Baseball, Deuces and one-eyed Jacks, Texas Hold’em), we played Trouble last night, and Scrabble is becoming more popular with the masses – YAY! We did go through a fit of Mastermind for a while – get that one for the boys if you don’t have it yet.
    I’ll meet you in Vegas with Sam based on his poker skills. What is it with six-year-olds? Or maybe it’s second-borns. :o) Sam used to call it a Royal Slush when I first taught them a couple years ago. So cute.

  2. oooh i love Blokus! i can’t wait for my Lovie to be of an age when we can start playing family games… i always dreamed of doing a Family Game Night. man, i’m such a dork!

  3. We love Mexican train too! One of my favorites is Rummikub! LOVE IT! Check it out, ages 8-adult.

    We also play: Apples to Apples, Loaded Questions, Impostor, Twister, just to name a few.
