Bangs Gone Wrong

I’m only showing you this so I can get some love.

I admit it’s a shameless ploy for someone to tell me, “You don’t look that bad.”

It’s been about 4 months since my last haircut so I really was in desperate need of one.

I went to a very reputable salon and had a very nice girl do my hair since my regular hairdresser was not available.

I explained to the girl that I wanted my bangs cut at eyebrow length.

I’m fairly sure that in Hairdressing 101 one of the first lessons is cut the bangs in small increments.

Apparently, my hair dresser missed that day.

I know, get it out, laugh, I’ll wait.

………

What’s a girl to do besides just pull her hair back with a pin and wait a good 4 to 6 weeks?

Laugh.

And that’s what I’m choosing to do.

And pin my miniscule bangs back because in this case, nothing is better than something.

I see plenty of hat wearing in my future.

  1. Oh, Jennifer! Lol – they’ll grow out soon. Good plan with the pin-it-to-the-side for a while. :o) And the bangs pinned to the side looks really cute, so no problem while your waiting for them to grow out a bit. BTW, I really like that shirt and thin yellow belt combo. I think I need to accessorize more.

  2. Can you also try teasing them up, 80’s style, and posting that pic? You, know, just for your friends who are trying to survive elementary school in May and could use the laugh? All joking aside, your bangs really do look good pinned back. Even though it’s a fix to a bad haircut, it’s very cute!

  3. This is why one never, never takes anyone but your regular hairdresser. As your dad always said-“A Life Lesson”. The positive is that the warm summer sun will accelerate the growth so probably more like 3-4 weeks till normalcy.

  4. LOL. Oh my. Did you cry? I totally would have cried. Which is why I haven’t had bangs since I was a kid. The good news is, it looks really cute pinned back. 🙂

    • I did not cry but I kind of stopped taking to the lady giving her only one or two word answers and desperately trying to focus on my “Us Weekly” in fear that I was about to scream.

  5. Pinned back looks cute, go with it. Maybe try and headband and see what you think of that…might work as well
